Republic Day 2025

This 26th of January, as we are witnessing the intrigue of the Maha Kumbh which is a testament to the Spirit of the Republic of India.

We realize how India has sustained a level of collective maturity and inclusive mutuality that is unprecedented in the history of nationhood where people have converged to become a unique destination for humanity where Saadhana, Sahensheelta and Samavedhana has resulted in the realization of the ideals of “Vasudaiva Kutumbakam” and “Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir” which embraces humanity while denouncing any form of ultra nationalism, protectionism and xenophobia that we now see manifest in many forms across the world that is based on biases rather than merit.

India has been the only place where differences and diversity do not form the foundation for uniting without a cause while upholding it for such a long and lasting balance despite the constant changes and challenges.

Nationalism is often a convenient idea of forming a political and geographical identity based on unification against and sometimes for discrimination and oppression (passive or aggressive) rather than equality and equity of justice with a mission to promote and practice humanity without prejudice.

By Celebrating the ideals, we promote and encourage the current and future generations to carry forward this great vision and mission that is more than an experiment, it is the very experience of the highest ideals of humanity and if we can collectively resolve the problems that limit and prevent us from becoming the vibrant society and the Vishwa guru, that our ancestors gracefully built for promoting progress and maintaining global unity without the misplaced sense of superiority or domination for exploitation, but always standing for global cooperation and collaboration promoting humanity.

This Republic Day can only be a Happy Republic Day if all the Indians, of Indian descent and All human (the Hindus suffering in Bangladesh) and the multitudes here and around the world are factored.

And if we can each raise our voice and support in whatever way we can to get them basic safety and dignity that everyone deserves.

And use this opportunity for realizing the ideals of India and the challenges and promise of the present and future that is only possible if we unite to think and work in the path of our unique predecessors.

Independence Day 2024-Part II

Has India benefited? If yes, how? how much? If not to the extent it should have, WHY? We now cannot blame it on subjugation, the conscripted laborer Indians who went through much worse, are now the most prominent citizens in respective nations where they were taken as slaves.  We cannot blame on invaders; we have had a straight eight decades of self-rule and governance. We cannot blame it on segregation, or systematic knowledge monopoly or restriction, we have more mobile phones and access to information than any other country.  Many would ask, what's wrong with how we are, we are okay with things as long as it all adds up a semblance of order amidst the chaos, we take pride in it and in the all-round mediocrity.
